Lucky is Not My Middle Name

Saturday night we headed to the Davenport with our friends Rachel and Jason to the

It's an annual event in which you can enter a drawing to win elaborately decorated trees and all the prizes that go with them. One tree included a balloon ride! As we threw in our tickets for trees and waited for the drawing to start we walked around knowing that one of us was going to win a tree.

When the drawing began, we were hopeful but as it progressed we were reminded of how unlucky all of us are actually. We didn't win anything!! I guess to be cheesy we were simply lucky to have each others company. It was a great night spent in the beautiful Davenport even though we didn't win.

P.S. Thanks to Rachel for the pictures (except I edited the last one to add some holiday cheer). She is a great photographer and has such a cute blog!!

I wanted to share a quick story about my 3 year old niece Evelyn. She was recently over at my parents house and we got to play blocks, decorate a mini tree, and teach all of the stuffed Christmas toys in the house how to talk. It was a busy day. When her mom came to pick her up she shared a story with me. Her mom said she loved the idea of Santa and how it was a great way to bribe your kid to be good for a month because "Santa will know if you are being naughty or nice"

So one day, when Evelyn wasn't being good,my sister-in-law decided to try out the bribe and here is how it went:

Lisa (my sister in law): "Evelyn if you aren't good you know that Santa won't bring you any presents"

Evelyn:  she thinks for a little while "Ma, I think I have enough toys"

It totally didn't work. That girl continues to amaze me with the things she says.

We are finally bloggin'

So, I have finally given in and started a blog. It has been almost a year since Travis and I were married and I just recently realized how much blogging is such a great way to keep a diary of our life together. I only wish I had started sooner.

Currently we are staying with my parents (in the basement) and we are itching to get out into our own place. Travis is loving his job and I love that he comes home with a renewed love of chiropractics everyday. He has even been teaching me new things. (logo for his clinic is below)

I just accepted a job in Post Falls, ID and I am excited about how much I am going to grow. I will be starting Dec 15th and I can't wait!!

The best part about my new job is that we will get to move into our own place. We just today decided to move to Liberty Lake as it is a center location between our jobs. Also it is a very safe area.  We should be able to move into our new apartment on the 15th also. Next week will be a rather busy week with moving and a new job. Wish us luck!
